[interview] want better relationships?

by Amy on April 11, 2013

I had an aha moment the other day… (aha moments are like crack to life coaches).

I was sitting on the plane with my sister-in-law. She and I both share a deep love for self help books. So she was telling me about all these great relationship books she’s reading.

And I realized, I have been devouring self help books for the past five years but have hardly glanced at the self help section on relationships.

See, I’ve been wanting to improve my relationship with my dear husband of almost 20 years. And it dawned on me (doh!), to have a better relationship with my hubby, I have to actually pay more attention to the relationship I already have with him. I have to study my relationship with him, learn about it, respect it enough to give it the time and attention it deserves.

Which is why I wanted to introduce you to my friends Jennifer and Peter Diepstraten of FamilyCo. I met them earlier this year through my business mastermind.

Since I’m kind of a self help snob, I was pretty impressed with the depth of their knowledge about how to make relationships great. Everyone has the natural capacity to be great at relationships and they can help you reconnect with that natural capacity.

Check out the interview below…

And the other cool thing is they have a quiz ( you KNOW I love quizzes). It’s called How to Tell If You’re Trying to Fix Your Partner (and Possibly Making Your Relationship Worse!). Juicy, huh?

So enjoy the interview and let me know how you did on the quiz!

Amy, I can hear you great, but I just can’t hear them very well. It did help that you were reinstating what they were saying. Thank you for sharing. I did take the quiz. Awesome. I wasn’t all the way at the bottom, but I was down there, so I’m looking forward to seeing what they have to say through their website and their “stuff.”

Hey Denee — good to know. I will have to do something about the sound quality in the next one. Glad you found the quiz helpful! I thought it would be fun to share!!
